Do you already have a fabric you'd like to see on your child's chair? Call or write for COM prices. I'll help you figure yardage and give you an address for shipping, or have your design professional contact me directly to discuss exact specifications for your Little Big Chair.
INCORPORATE HEIRLOOM TEXTILES I have purchased numerous decorative elements, like shawls with fringe, lace, and silks with embroidery, to decorate the chairs and ottomans. If you have precious heirloom textiles that you think would work in this capacity, please contact me. This is a wonderful way to honor an ancestor's tatting, needlework or quilting. Placed on the outside of the arms and back, they remain relatively undisturbed. A more durable fabric like ultrasuede (R), linen or velvet can be used for the insides where wear and tear occurs.
Do you have a beautiful old family wedding dress sitting in a box in a closet? Let me help you create an heirloom tuffet/ottoman for future generations of your family's girls. I once made a vanity bench out of an old outdated mink stole. It belonged to my client's mother, and now greets her each morning. Send me a photo and I'll take a look. Were you a bridesmaid or maid of honor for a best friend who is now expecting her first daughter? Let me use the dress to create a princess tuffet which you can present to her at her baby shower. Little Big Chairs are designed to last. Incorporating unique family treasures into the design is a creative way to display legacies that might otherwise remain unseen in storage. |
