This is an armless, slipper chair, version of the Lancet upholstered as an homage to the Kimono.  A Japanese inspired cotton fabric makes a fun and lively little "Baby Kimono". The "obi", a sash that acts as a belt for a kimono, is in red linen and "tied" with a piece of gold and red decorative trim. Being a fairly lightweight fabric, I first upholstered the seat and inside back in a heavy muslin to give the finished product "body". This is a tiny little treasure of a chair.
