Little Big Chair

The idea for Little Big Chair started with my friend, Amanda. Soon after I became an upholsterer, she asked me to recover a beautiful wooden child's chair that her very stylish mother purchased in Europe when they were kids. It was a stunning piece with tufting on the seat and back. Her mother's idea was to give the children a dignified and inspired place in which to sit with the adults in the living room. She hoped that showing them this respect would inspire good behaviour. I'm sure it didn't always work, but the idea was a good one that successfully transferred her exquisite taste to her son and two daughters.

I have been in the upholstery business since 1980 and taught a continuing education class in upholstery at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas from 1982-1992. My children's chairs are a labor of love. No expense is spared to create a truly comfortable piece of fine furniture. I want my customers to be thrilled with their purchase and anyone using my product to feel like they are special, pampered and loved.  Click on the picture of the chair on this page to go directly to the shopping page.

Little Big Chair's goal is superior quality with timeless styling and integrity of construction that can be passed from one generation to another. Special seating for that special little person in your life. When I'm not creating little chairs, I love to dance Argentine Tango with my husband of 30 years.
